In Spring 2007 we learned that a friend of ours, Hunter
Philbrick, of Milford, fulfilled his dream of owning
a Harley by purchasing a 1979 XLH 1000. SSGT Philbrick,
an 11 year Marine, returned to Iraq for the summer
to finish his 15 month deployment. We, of course, being
who we are, couldn't resist grabbing the bike, while
he was away, and refurbishing it for him as a "thank
you" for his service to our country. With the
help of his wife, Tina, and his dad, Skip, we stole
the bike and brought it to our shop. After Tina's input
on design we ended up with a Marine Corps themed Harley
we dubbed aptly the "BullDhog" - combining
his favorite Marine Corps image and his favorite brand
of motorcycle. We presented the finished product to
Hunter upon his return in September. In December, OxxCycle
Magazine featured it as their Bike of the Month.

We at American Drifter Motorcycles
wish to pay tribute to Hunter, his family,
and all our troops, for their sacrifices to keep our
nation safe. We hope
that our work on this bike adequately conveys our gratitude.
